CodeCircle.org (part of VGURU Foundation) is an educational innovation dedicated to making coding and technology education accessible to children from all walks of life. By equipping young minds with essential digital skills, we aim to inspire innovation, foster creativity, and empower the next generation to solve real-world challenges.
Through hands-on learning and mentorship, we bridge the digital divide and create opportunities for all children to thrive in a technology-driven world.
A Message From Our Founder
A Journey Fueled by Determination, Driven by Purpose
After completing my 10th grade, I joined an intermediate college (11-12th grades) in Koti, India, 25 kilometers away from my home. Each day, I'd travel by bus, passing through Ameerpet and Koti, places known for their buzz around technology and programming institutes. I would look at those centers longingly, dreaming of learning the languages of the future.
But dreams cost money, and back in 1991, we didn't have much. I couldn't afford the expensive courses being advertised on every billboard. Still, I didn't give up. I found a small institute near my college that offered programming courses for a nominal fee, in exchange for helping out with admin work and lab support. The senior lab admin was strict—I got just 30 to 45 minutes a day on a computer. That wasn't enough. So, I spoke to the owner and convinced him to let me use the computers late at night, after the institute closed. The deal? I'd stay locked inside the lab overnight to practice.
On those nights, I often skipped dinner or ate a couple of bananas. Sometimes, I'd visit friends or neighbors nearby for a warm meal. But none of that mattered, because I was finally learning. I immersed myself in Pascal, COBOL, and C. That opportunity changed my life. I went on to complete my Bachelor's in Computer Science and Engineering as a Gold Medalist, and later earned my Master's in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Madras.
Today, I look back with gratitude for those who gave me a chance when I had nothing but determination. That is why I started CodeCircle.org —to give every child, no matter their background, free access to the world of coding. Because talent is everywhere, but opportunity isn't. Join me in this mission, and let's help every child find their spark.

Our Journey
The path we've taken to make coding education accessible to all
The Beginning
We started small, "VGURU LEARNING CENTER", with a cozy learning center right at home, helping preschoolers explore fun activities and early learning skills. It was all about play, creativity, and sparking curiosity in young minds.
Growing with Math and Science
As more kids joined us, we began teaching Math and Science to students of all ages in elementary and middle school. Our home turned into a hands-on learning space full of experiments, puzzles, and exciting discoveries!
Stepping into Tech
With growing interest, we expanded into teaching basic technology and coding skills to middle school students. We launched our web.site "VGURU TECH ACADEMY" at vguru.org. From learning how computers work to writing their first lines of code, kids were thrilled to dive into the world of tech.
Launching Our Online LMS
To reach even more students, we launched our very own online Learning Management System (LMS) as "CODECIRCLE.ORG"! Now, kids and teachers anywhere can access our free courses, lessons, and projects with just a few clicks.
